Mitzvah Food Project for High Holidays

High Holidays

Food Drive Mitzvah Project

October 2nd – 12th.

As our new year begins, let us keep in mind that there are many people in the Siouxland community who are hungry and need our help. Let’s try to make a difference in the lives of those neighbors this holiday season. During the holidays we will be collecting non-perishable food items to donate to the Siouxland Soup Kitchen. We will have a collection table in the lobby area for your donations.

Please consider buying extra items the next time you do your grocery shopping. Larger cans of vegetables and fruits are most needed, but any size can will be used. Other items frequently used are boxed potatoes, pasta, creamed soups, chicken broth and stuffing mixes. Please double check the expiration date as they won’t be able to accept anything that has expired.

If you are unable to donate food items but would still like to contribute, monetary donations are always accepted. If you prefer to donate this way, please make your check out to the Siouxland Soup Kitchen and leave in the CBS office.

Thank you for helping the less fortunate in Siouxland!
